First of all I attended my first SV event yesterday at Streets of Willow. Had a great time!

Anyway, I have a 2001 Z06 with Koni single adjustable shocks.  I am running Kumho ECSTA V700s in 275/40-17 fr and 305/30-18 rr.  Stock otherwise.  Looking at various results I think it may be T3?

Also, within the Corvette Challenge classing I think I end up as "Production" based on...

MODIFIED

C5's: same as Stock + up to 100 points from Points Listing below
Z06's: same as Stock + up to 50 points from Points Listing below

PRODUCTION
C5's: same as Stock + up to 200 points from Points Listing below
Z06's: same as Stock + up to 150 points from Points Listing below

Spec Competition Tires* 50
Shocks (w/stock springs only) 25

A note on tires: Spec competition tires would include Toyo RA-1's, Kumho Victoracers and Ecsta 700's, Yokohama A032R's and the new A032RS.

TIA...

Yes on both of them. You're definitely in T3, and unless you made big changes to your car you'd stay there (for example, you'd be in T4 with street tires, or T2 with Slicks or a Supercharger). Production leaves you less room to play around, as you can see by the points, but you're squarely there for now.

Any more questions about it, just let me know. Nice times at SOWS!

Thanks, John.  I really enjoyed myself and felt I was driving well that day.   But I was beat by the end of the day!   Well worth it though!!

Well, not really, since each stock car is in one of the 8 classes (T8-T1.)   Is a 2001 Cobra (normally aspirated) and the 2003+ Cobra (supercharged) in the same class?  Not sure.  John?

It's as Steve says. We simply try to class cars fairly into a class they'll be competitive in. If you have a car that has FI from the factory, the story's still the same. Of course it's pretty obvious you've got an advantage over the same car if offered w/o the blower, so you're in a different class. One example that's cutting a fine line is Corvettes. If you have a C5, you're in a different class than a Z06. For those with a 2001 Z06, that's only a 35 hp difference, which is pretty narrow at those power levels to justify a whole different class, but you've also go a shorter trans, different shocks, etc. Still the cars are pretty close, and that's about as narrow an example of different classes as we'll cut.

But I digress:

2001 Cobra Street - 6

Honda S2000 Street - 6

2003 Cobra Street - 5

C5 Non Z06 Street - 5

Z06 Street - 4

For any of these cars, put them on DOT-R Tires and they go +1 class, full slicks = +2 classes, so, for instance, a 2003 Cobra on streets is class 5 and an S2000 on DOT R's is 5.
