I will be attending the Aug 8th event. I will be attending as a novice. I have full SFI race gear. Should I use it or leave it at home?

It is up to you, but my view has always been that I'd feel really dumb if something happened, I had the gear, and I wasn't using it

It's tough in the heat to make yourself wear your suit, but if things go wrong you'd be glad you'd worn it.

Thats kind of how I was feeling. I know I will be hot but better than getting REAL HOT!

Whats the shade like out there? I have a 10 x 10 canopy that I use on my car sometimes. Is it ok to bring that?

Its no problem for you to bring that, just bring something to weigh it down with as the wind can really get up around there.

Hey, Steve. If you're really coming on the 8th that's a good thing. I'm bringing the Corvette out as the Ultima is not ready for this event, and we could have some fun...*however*, you have to bring out horrible old tires so we'll be competitive I'll be on Victoracers of who knows what age, but definitely over a year since their last heat cycle and on thier last legs.
