Hey Guys,

I am signed up for Buttonwillow this weekend. I have a question about taking wheel caps as part of the tech inspection. Mine are allen screwed in. Would it be a good idea to remove them anyway or can I slide on this one?. Thanks.

Eric

I don't have experience with whell caps on the track, but I'd use the rule that, if they're screwed in tightly and are not likely to fall off, you can leave them on... but it's just another thing to potentially get damaged/bent/scratched.  Besides, Your car might look meaner in blackies

You can slide on it, if they're going to stay put. One consideration is if they're plastic there is the possibility they'll melt...
