Arg, a good place is in palmdale? Its like 15 minutes south of the track. 60ish a night if you mention the track. Breakfast in the morning, nice rooms. Wireless internet access as well...
Its been a while since I went there, its not a chain place. Sorry, if I find where it is I will post back.
(or is it lancaster...)

Willow springs has somthing about camping spots included with the $10.00 admission? Is this over night or just day spots? If they dont allow over night, where would be a good van/camper spot near by? Beer and a nice fire saturday night sounds like fun to me.

Park Plaza is the ONLY place to stay, tell 'em your running at WSIR and you'll get a track discount, you'll need to dial their local # 661-948-0961 to get the discount, and it's Lancaster not Palmdale.

Right on, $70/night at Park Place w/Willow Springs discount. Lotsa $$ left over for entertainment. Ron, we are counting on you....

Just as an FYI, it looks like Park Plaza changed their name to "Essex House Hotel & Convention Center". It's the same place, but just to avoid any confusion for those making reservations.
