What is a fairly good time for a beginner at Thunderhill?

What car?

Really, you shouldn't be too focused on lap times when you're just starting out. Focus more on getting the right line, turn in point, apex, etc. Then, worry about getting those last few seconds.

I've actually driven the track 4 times, and am comfortable with it, and am getting much faster, but have not been timed. So, I've got he lines down, etc...just curious as to what people think is a relatively decent time for a beginner. I drive a 2003 Evo 8. I know there are a lot of factors to consider, but just looking for some input.

Peace.

Percy

Evo? 2:18-2:16 would be fine for a noobie. I'm sure they could go MUCH faster though, 2:10 or whatever. I only drive anemic cars so I dunno much about how power = laptimes.

Peep the SV track records and go from there.

Easiest way to see is to check the track records.  Find the link on the SV home page.  My stock engined Corvette is in the old T5 class and as noted above 2.15 is pretty good and 2.10 would say you're getting where I want to go.  Not sure if the Evo on streets is T5 or T6 under old system.

Decided to take my own advice, seems the Evo on streets was T6 and record for Evo was at 2.12.7 so anything under 2.20 would probably be damn fast, or as I view it close to 95%.
