Can anyone recommend a relatively inexpensive hotel (<$60) close to the track where someone won't break into your trailer?

Thanks,

Doug

I need about 4 rooms.  In the past I went to Embassy suites in Seaside, and rooms there were about $79 bucks, which was fine as they are nice rooms and they have breakfast.  But now they want something like $169.  There are some places on Expedia.com for $60, but I don't want to end up near a crack house and have to have something sleep in the truck to make sure the no one breaks into the trailer.

So I could get 4 rooms at $169, or 4 rooms at 60-70 bucks a room.  Since two of the rooms are for the pit crew, I ain't paying $169 a room!

maybe I should have said less than $80 a room?

Try the Motel 6 on N Fremont.  Very close to the track.

Also a Super 8 close by, I think.  There is a great Italian restaurant across the street, and to the left, from the Motel 6.

The winning hotel was Bay Park Hotel in Monterey, right off the 399-B exit off Highway 1, behind the 76 gas station.  Lots of parking for trailers, nice room, good service at the desk, all for about $75.
