I was trying to get to SV race Yesterday. I was driving my RX7 with a very fresh rebuild. Trying to get over the grapevine and BOOM the top rediator hose blew!! seemed to lift the hood about an inch!

Got the car back home last night around 1:00 am. Had to come back to Irvine, get the truck p/u car dolly and go back past Santa Clarita to get it.

Didn't do any damage to the engine (that I can tell) just need to put the cooling system back together. (the wter pump started spewing as well.)

Maybe I'll catch and speedVentures race in May as I'll be in Oklahoma next during next months race.

I am new to this forum and SV, Hope to meet all you guys at a Race real soon.

John

Wow, lucky that there was no motor damage! As you know, rotaries don't do well when they get hot.

Hopefully we'll see you in May then. Good luck
