Speedvision report... Quote.. Rookie driver Mumford, driver of the No. 23 Magellan Financial Dodge Viper, had arguably the best luck of the day charging from his 22nd starting position to finish third in his first-career SPEED GT race. He not only captured his first podium finish, but was also won the Sunoco Hard Charger of the race award for moving up 19 positions. The finish was also the first podium for the new Dodge Viper Competition Coupe.
Again Congrats ....I guess we need to start addressing you as Mr. Mumford now!!!! Paul I think a little luck had something to do with it. But i would have to say that 90% is the incredible talent you have behind the wheel of any car you drive. It was incredible to watch the live timing on the internet and watch you move from 22 to 12 in the first lap. It was very hard waiting for the updates on each lap. Luc and myself (and Ron on speakerphone) were high fiving for you in every lap. When the caution came out and you were in 7th place we new it was going to be a new race for you. 22nd to 3rd is amazing!!!!
The podium is the only place for you to be Mr. Mumford. Cant wait for Laguna Seca. I will be there if you need any help in the pits.
to #23!!!!!!
