I got to drive on RX8 today, it is REALLY nice. Needs more hp, but for an out-the-door package it kicks ass.

I'm the biggest Mazda fan on this board...and I still say you need to drive a stock S2000 now. The RX-8 is interesting, but a compromise. The S2000 is much less of one. OTOH, if they build a 4th gen RX-7, that will be a class killer, I have no question

Since the S2000 guys don't check the RX-8 thread I'll answer this one for you (as best I can). The power seems to be greatly increased, and from that standpoint, the car is improved. The handling is not as sharp as it was in the earlier incarnation though. They've softened the car up and added understeer. Unfortunate.

So, with a new suspension....well, it'll be faster than the 00-03
