One of each in large here, por favor.

I vote for Hemingway, potential lawsuit and all.

Instead of red... how about black?

Still doesn't tell me what "OG" means...

Original Goons?  Only Guys?  Only Gay?  Openly Gay?

Hey, I think I'm headed in the right direction here!

Oh crap, I ran back in the Wurth Motorsports days.  Well, I'm talking about everyone else.  You know who you are...

Hmmm... red dots symbolize inflamed sphinct....  Okay, this is going in a very wrong direction!

Mike, you're waaaayyy off track here. In the SV world, OG is short for IMHLATOTTBALINTKOGMFWBAMNCANDIDS: YTMTATB!? You can see why we shorten it the much more manageable OG. I mean, when we're at the track in the heat of summer, BSing between sessions about how we're actually faster than the guy that just beat us, we just got a certain corner wrong on that last run, no one wants to go to the trouble of actually having to spell out I May Have Left Another Tenth On The Track, But At Least I'm Not The Kind Of Gay MoFo Would Buy A Mini Nascar And Not Drive It During Summer: You Tell Me That Ain't True, Beeaaaatttcccchhh!? To which the traditional response is, of course, YDSIMIMHKYALSBALYATTYANMSSAHITACWFFSHCDHLCWOF (Yeah, Don't Sweat It Man, I may Have Kicked Your Ass Last Session, But At Least You're At The Track. You Ain't No Mike Scrhiber, Sittin' At Home In The AC Waiting For Fall So He Can Drive His Little Car Without Fainting!)

Instead, we just cut it all down: "Hey man, I know I'm OG"

"Yeah, you OG'd that last session, but no MSS, bud!"

You can see the economy of it; we'd probably get heat stroke if we had to spell all this sh*t out

Disclaimer: IANATSD (I am not a t-shirt designer), but here's my suggestion none-the-less:

On the front:

I spent most of my money on
women, booze and racing...

On the back:

... the rest I just wasted.

On the sleeve:

Very good Tony.  I like it.

Here's another:

Gas... $100
Tires... $800
Brake Pads... $300
2-Day Event Fee... $200
Transponder Rental... $25
3-weeks of smack talk on the Speed Ventures website until the next event... Priceless

Disclaimer:  I kinda ripped this off from my PCA chapter.  They had a T-shirt with something similar printed for an SOW event (Rebell and I have one).

Hey, that was pretty good!

Just don't forget...

IGATZBMRWSAABDBNINAFAISITSTEORTEFMSWHIHACBHCITHTDITS.

"I got a T1 Z06 because my RX7 was slow and always broke down but now I'm not any faster and I'm selling it to save the embarrassment of receiving taunting e-mails from Mike Schriber who's home in his air conditioning because his car is too hot to drive in the summer".

Or more simply put...

MSHTBTRTMNMITOBIWOWMT1Z.

"Mike Schriber had the balls to run that mini-NASCAR machine in the OTC but I wimped out with my T1 Z06."

Or even more simply put...

ICBIGCFAGWWSITOABHCAHBOTTOS!

"I can't belive I'm getting crap from a guy who was slow in the OTC and broke his car and hasn't been on the track since!"

Really...  I'm putting it back together!  This new Kart track a mile from my store has derailed my plans!

This smack talk is so much more fun in person!

Now, about those dots....

Mike

I like Tony's design. Whatever the design ends up being I'm in for 1 or 2 short sleeve shirts. And I hope you have a good comeback John cause I think you just got owned!!

Tee-shirts?  Oh yeah.

How about "I joined Speed Ventures to run with the fastest drivers on the best track, but all I got was this lousy tee-shirt"

Actually, I think the original shirts were fine.  Maybe put a cool picture of my car on it to jazz things up...

So, when is the next So. Cal. event?

Mike

We'll consider it

Your car is #1 on our list, should we ever expand to the Carolinas

So, when is the next So. Cal. event?

Mike

Next Socal? Why that would be way out on October 25th - Spring Mountain: http://www.speedventures.net/2003_Schedule.asp

Ya don't say?  Well I'll be durned!

Ya see, last time out, the car had this mighty strong push up through eight and nine, then that darn gum thing that connects the motor to the back wheels done let loose.  Whooowee, what a noise.  I'll tell you what!

Hows about "Speed Ventures...  Y'all come back, ya hear!"

Mike

It looks like we'll go with a variation on Tony's design, we've just got to figure out the details. Aaron and I are still debating the "Women & booze" quote. I like it but I kind of question it at the same time

Anyway, thanks for all the ideas, guys!

We'll order more of them than the qty in this thread, but not massively more, so if you haven't said anything and want these, posting about it sometime in the near future would be a good idea!

Yeah, as much as I like to make you guys happy, it may have to be the Hemingway quote this time around. The debate rages on...

I like everything about the v2.0 shirts but the lame joke (which really isn't that lame, considering. ) It's a nice, simple design. Also, I generally think that the fewer words the better, so I'm a bit leery of the drawn-out quotes and jokes.

Instead, I propose the same basic v2.0 design for the front/sleeves, with something very simple on the back, like "Speed Ventures: Don't Be Slow".

Cheers,
John

P.S. I'd be interested in one long-sleeve, one short, both 2XL.

I'll take one each long sleeve and short sleeve in size L.  Hope I'm not too late, just started sifting through the email after the move.

(1) Med. short
(1) Med. long
[non-Aaron version only]

How about: "Speed Ventures: Where the only thing smaller than our peckers, are our trophies."
OR
"You've run with the rest, NOW run with the best - SpeedVentures.net"

John: Remember when I told you that you wouldn't want me anywhere near your Forum? (this is supposed be the damn Devil emoticon, but your emoticons are F'd up)}

I'm not sure this is what we're going for, and I'm certain it's unfair to try to scale the rest of us down to Len-like dimensions, so to speak
