OTC 2003 SpeedVentures Teams!During this year's OTC, which runs from April 6th through April 12th, we will be tracking the progress of the SpeedVentures-sponsored teams in their quest for OTC glory. We are getting daily updates from the track, but due to the conflict with our TWS event, we may fall a little behind for the last day or two of the OTC.
The TeamsRylan Hazelton / Aaron BittermanClass: U3 Car: S2000 w/ weight reduction, suspension, slicks, etc.
Dave Kennedy / Jason Rhoades
class: U2 Car: Supercharged S2000 w/ weight reduction, suspension, slicks, brakes, Jason's Active Aero Wing, and god knows what else! John Dearing / Ron Wasserman Class: T1 Car: Viper GTS basically stock, stoptech brake upgrade. And finally, the "semi-offical" Speedventures team, Hayashi and Rhoades. In a sneaky cheating-bastard move, Hayashi "borrows" illustrious SpeedVentures factory driver Jason Rhoades to round out his S2000 team entry ;-) Doug Hayashi / Jason Rhoades Class: T3 Car: SCCA B stock S2000 with wildly illegal cockpit-adjustable active aero wing (because that's just the kind of thing we appreciate!). Day 1: Pahrump (Spring Mountain)SpeedVentures teams kicked off the OTC with a wildly successful day at the Spring Mountain track!Rylan and Aaron took 1st in their class with laptimes of 1:47.000 1:47.200 and 1:47.300! Dave and Jason took 2nd in their class with laptimes of 1:45.600 1:45.700 and 1:45.800. John and Ron took 2nd in thier class with laptimes of 1:50.200 1:50.300 and 1:50.500. As expected, the Mosler was unbeatable, though there was some talk of smoke coming from the Mosler on this, the first day of competition. Finally, Jason and Doug took 1st in their class with laptimes of 1:55.200 1:55.400 and 1:55.500! Great going guys! Ok, change of plans. With TWS coming up on us fast, we don't have the time to write stuff up, so we'll just leave it to everyone else Complete results are here Want to read people's OTC Logs?
